It’s best out west, as you head from wobbly Worcestershire, through the badlands of the Marches and across the famous Offa’s Dyke into the heart of Wales, with plenty of hills to test those autumnal legs.
With varied countryside, the is a route to savour, including the pretty testing climbs, steep descents where riders should take care, open Marches, and deep valley clefts to the west of Knighton. The route passes underneath the magnificent castellated viaduct at Knucklas. Control locations at Craven Arms and sleepy Presteigne have a choice of cafés. E-brevet will be available. There’s food and showers at the finish.
